About us

Travelling2 was started in April 2008 by Freddy Markham and Elaine Prudham. Freddy had founded the previous firm of Travelling Light in 1987 and Elaine had been the buyer for 11 years. The firm is built on the foundations of Travelling Light and re-employed many of the highly experienced staff. Travelling2’s HQ is at Morland near Penrith, Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District.

Travelling2 supplies travel clothing and accessories, sourced from around the world, through a mail order catalogue and a website. There are also two shops, at Morland and at Bletchingley, near Redhill, Surrey.

We aim to grow by providing first class products and first class service.

Our products are specially selected to be ideal for travel which means light weight, low bulk, crease resistant, easy care, quick drying, cool, comfortable and always with flair and style. The accessories are high quality, useful and attractive. Clothing and accessories may not always be the cheapest, but they are the best, and they represent excellent value for money.

Our customer service is top priority. We answer the phone promptly, we are polite, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, and take personal responsibility to ensure you get what you want. If all our telephone lines are busy, you can leave a message and we will ring you back. We aim to keep all our range in stock, and we despatch your goods next day from our own warehouse. If you ask for first class post, it is highly likely you will receive your goods in the morning.

We want to make dealing with us a pleasure. We never forget that you can exist without us, but we cannot exist without you.
