Our Shops

As well as mail order catalogues and this website, Travelling2 has two retail shops, one in the north and one in the south of England. Both are fun in their different ways, and make an interesting and entertaining day out. They both carry our full range so you can see and try before you buy. If any item is out of stock, it will be sent to your home post free. But to be sure of seeing something you particularly want, it is best to ring ahead.

Both shops have extra items which are not in the catalogue, and a special Reduced Rail where you may find a bargain.

Morland
Penrith, Cumbria

Morland is a pretty village on the edge of the Lake District and in easy reach of Junctions 39 and 40 of the M6. If you are visiting the Lakes or passing to or from Scotland, Morland is a great place to visit or stop off, especially now that the new Mill Yard Café is open.

Travelling2’s Morland shop is unique, using the stables of Morland House, a rare 1880’s survival and a joy to connoisseurs of Victorian architecture.

Also in part of the shop is Acorny Antiques, which includes some rather kitsch collectables, but also some genuine bargains. Well worth a look.

Next door is the Mill Yard Café, open seven days a week for teas, coffees and light lunches. Enjoy the sunny courtyard with the shady awning or collapse on the sofas with a real coffee, a local beer, a chilled glass of wine, or a homemade local food lunch. Spend £100 at Travelling2 and receive a voucher worth £5 to spend in the café. See www.millyardcafe.co.uk

You are also welcome to explore the beautiful four acre gardens of Morland House, centred around Morland Beck with bridges and stepping stones, a delight for young and old alike.

Morland in the Eden Valley is central to the Lakes, the Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian’s Wall all within 25-45 minutes drive. If you would like to stay longer, you can also now stay in the new Morland House Guesthouse (tel 01931 714989), or rent the Bower House, a new luxury two-person self-catering cottage, see www.thebowerhousemorland.co.uk

The Travelling 2 shop, the Mill Yard Café and the gardens are open Mon – Sat 10 am to 5pm. Morland is 7 miles South East of Penrith between the A6 and the A66. Sat Nav reference is CA10 3AZ.

Bletchingley
Surrey

Travelling2’s flagship in the Deep South is a picturesque shop in the attractive old village of Bletchingley, near Redhill, Surrey. It is only six minutes from Junction 6 of the M25, but is a different world. Ample free parking on the main street makes Bletchingley a pleasure to visit, and the famously friendly staff of Min, Mo and Jean look forward to welcoming you.
